The table below lists sources for virtual merit badge opportunities that your scout may want to take advantage of. If interested, the scout should let the Scoutmaster know which merit badge(s) they will be taking. In addition to the below table, third-parties are updating this Google Calendar with virtual merit badge classes.
Keep in mind that many merit badges have Merit Badge Counselors (MBC) within the troop (including all Eagle-required merit badges) and council, and there is no charge to use a local MBC. You can search for an MBC for a particular merit badge in Scoutbook, or contact the Scoutmaster for assistance.
Please Note: For Troop 44, Eagle-required merit badges must be earned in-person (no virtual Eagle-required merit badges). Approved venues include summer camps, scout merit badge colleges, troop meetings, or other arrangements made with local merit badge counselors.
Boy Scout World Conservation Award
As a Boy Scout, you can earn this award by earning the following merit badges:

Environmental Science OR Sustainability merit badge.

Either Soil and Water Conservation OR Fish and Wildlife Management merit badge.

Citizenship in the World merit badge.
AND participate in a conservation project as part of an approved Scouting program totaling at least three hours that addresses a conservation need common to more than one country. See this application for details.
