Service Projects
Troop 44 likes to help out Moorestown and several surrounding communities in several ways. Most service projects are carried out on Saturdays and scouts are either encouraged or required to attend. Troop 44 believes that community service is a good way to improve character, while also helping out the community.
FUMC Cleanup Day
One of our main service projects is the First United Methodist Church cleanup. This is a good way to give back to the church, since they allow us to hold our weekly meetings in it.
Scouting For Food Donations
Another way to give back to the community is through Scouting for Food. We collect non-perishable food items and donate them to the local food pantry.
STEM Cleanup
A recent conservation project that we did was the cleanup with STEM (Save The Environment of Moorestown).
Jeff Young Memorial Park Cleanup
One of the projects we've done to help out the community is the Jeff Young Memorial Park Cleanup.
CareOne Harmony Village Service Project
Scouts from Troop 44 helped to build wooden planters for the residents at CareOne, Moorestown.
